I've been hauling my kart with my 2000 Ford Mustang and a Harbor Freight 4x8 trailer for the past 5 years. I have plenty of room for all my gear and I always get more than 20mpg. _________________ -Will

Honda Ridgeline. Have to remove the sidepods & the rear wheels sit on the tailgate.
But, I have a garage at the track, so I only haul the karts a couple of times a year. Like today, when I have to take it to get my F&(^%$* frame welded. _________________ Spec TaG Masters @ NCMP / #23 |

Exactly! I have no complaints...just consider it an air freshener. _________________ GP10/CR125

| On my way home from work today, I saw a Mercedes driving the opposite direction with a kart hanging out of the trunk. It didn't look elegant, but it was in there. |

Here are a couple sweet photos of rides for ya. One is also of my Jetta with a Swiss Hutless traveling over a Pass in Washington in one of the craziest snow storms ever.
It can be done, and cars are way better on gas.

If there is a will.......
We use a Dodge Ram Long Bed pickup and I can fit in a cadet and my TaG kart, everything I need for a weekend including tires, parts, canopy etc. I have a method for packing all sorted out and it works nicely. Not great for the rain but I have a tarp for that as well. Security is an issue so sometimes I rent a U-haul or share a trailer with a good friend of mine. |

I tow a 6'x10' V nose with a drop axle and 81" total height so that it will fit into my standard size garage. It handles two karts, canopies and all the goodies nicely. I like being able to simply unhook it after a long day and be done with it. Nothing to unload from the car. _________________ Kevin French

2003 chevy express bare bone van. Bought new in 2003. When traveling with one kart in the van the doors are wide enough for a kart 55+ inches wide to get in without removing anything.
Made a removable rack to put the gear and accessories on.
Intalled a bench seat behind front buckets. If I pull the seat I can squeeze in a second kart, tilted.
Most times with 2 or more karts we have a 6x14 interstate trailer. Can haul up to 4 in the trailer using the stacker stands that we make.
Mileage is about 10-11 with trailer 15-16 without. When traveling with one or two other people cost is less than half then going by ourselves.
Previous to the express van we had an Areostar, Ford 150, dautsun p/c , chevy station wagon, old Suburban. Dautsun p/c was the best if traveling by myself and one kart. 23 miles to gal mileage. Bad thing if it rained. _________________ OK everyone It's my opinion only, no one elses, and does not reflect any organization or office that I belong to or hold. Thank you for your support.

| A full size shifter with pods and wheels rolls into the back of a standard bed 6'3" Dodge Ram pickup. Hard tonneau cover keeps it secure. |

OK,I would really really like to see a picture of this. I got a small 4 door Toyota Yaris, and was thinking about getting a trailer. But if I can fit it in the back of the car hell I'll go with that...........can you tell I'm cheap |

I have to move the passengers seat all the way up and move the seat back all the way up also. The big toolbox goes between the passengers seat and the rear seat on the floor while my 2nd smaller toolbox goes on the floor in front of the passengers seat. Kart tires and wheels go behind my seat. Kart's nose is all the way against the passengers seat with the back fitting snugly against the rear of the car. Stand slides down on top of the seat so that its almost touch the rear ceiling. I had an extra set of wheels/tires which I normally don't have when I packed in this picture which made me drive a bit more carefully - didn't want to take a YHC to the head. _________________ #09 TAG Lite |
