+1 Toyota Tundra. Have to take off the nose cone with the new rear bumper but all my gear fits into the bed.

My favorite is a Chevy Express Regency conversion van. Wide enough rear doors to fit a width of 54.5" - so slide one hub in 1/2" and it fits.

Remove the folding bed/bench seat and put in a wood platform. That gives enough room to camp in the van overnight should there be a shower at the track.

Tall enough to comfortably change in. We had a 2000 model with a 350 and would get 18MPG highway at 75 MPH. When we towed the enclosed trailer that dropped to 11MPG.

These vans are good for 200,000 miles of reliable driving.

DHL just cut loose a bunch of yellow2007 Chevy panel vans look on Ebay. Prices range from $4500 - $8000. Don't bother with a V6 or a diesel, the fuel cost per mile is the same as the 350.

Mazda6 wagon holds all of the gear nicely, kart rides solo on a 4x8 Harbor Freight trailer.

If I took the side pods, wheels, hubs, and front bumper off, she might just fit in the cargo area. Haven't tried that yet, though.

To all of you that like to haul kart and accessories in a car or van, it is not a good idea....

My dad died in a car accident because in the back of his Datsun 260Z he had a boat anchor... When his car stopped the anchor did not and took the top of his head off...

Even hauling with a van there should be a wall (headache rack) to stop any thing from flying into the drivers and passengers area..

I have a F350 crewcab duelly deisel with a 24' trailer... Went to Daytona and back (Pittsburgh) split the fuel 5 ways and it cost us 100 dollars each round trip....

I like your setup ... I have the same, except I tow with a Mazda3 Hatchback and I also load my kartstand on the trailer. Fuel inside the car scares me, so I drop my fuel bottle in my seat with a bungee to hold it. All I need now is a cargo pod for the roof to carry an EZ-Up and a couple of chairs. My little 2.3 doesn't even notice the weight.

Some pretty interesting setups.

For me it's a 2007 Tacoma with the suicide style doors in the back (I forget what style this is). Bench seats in back fit all my gear, but it is cramped. This is where tetris skills come in.

Kart loads right into the back without the side pods or front bumper. We keep all the body work inside the truck.

I was wondering whether the 3 could handle towing a kart. Good to know. Zoom zoom! Cool

Good tip on the fuel can, too. I often just fuel up the kart (and test-start it) at the house, and carry the empty can in the car. You still get fumes, though.

'79 BMW 528i...

Spare parts and such in storage boxes placed in back seat/floor.

Caveat: we don't have far to go to our local track. For longer jaunts I rent a van from Enterprise.

I haul my kart in a 2000 Dodge Dakota (regular cab). Works great, it'll hold the complete kart when raised above the wheel arches. I also have a Softopper to keep it dry.

I dump it in a 7th gen Celica with front & rear bumpers, wheels, side pods, & seat removed (to lighten the kart since it's a deep fit inside the car. Oh yea, lets also add that the car has a rollcage.

2000 Buick Park Avenue (supercharged) with a 5x8 enclosed trailer. This is a stealth luxury tow vehicle--3500 lb capacity and a self-leveling rear suspension were standard equipment. Power is not an issue with the blower.

I haul everything in a 2002 Chrysler Town & Country. Obviously the seats need to come out, but it fits the kart (sidepods and rear wheels have to come off), kart stand, table, 3 tool boxes, a couple crates, EZ-UP, fuel jug, air tank, etc. Everything i need really.

Pretty amazing actually. Lots of the guys at the track are impressed because they all have these fancy trailers....we don't need no stinking trailer! Laughing

(although it would be nice....)

Surprised no one has mentioned this.

Small Japanese pick-up with a camper shell and carpet kit. I've used a Toyota longbed (speedway dirt kart when I lived in the Southeast) and a Nissan and they both worked great. My 85 Nissan (still have the truck) hauled my shifter and all my gear with the engine-side pod and rear tire removed. I set the frame (not the rear axle) on the passenger side carpeted bed board and it was smooth sailing.

Fast? Hell no. Economical and reliable? You betcha. I bought the 85 Nissan for $2400 in 1998 and I'm still rocking it today. Not a cool ride. Pure value, though.

now i wish i had pictures of my honda element with 2 karts and gear.

on some of these i wonder if it is haul in or haul with, cuz hauling a kart in a civic is damn impressive, hauling a kart with a open harbor freight trailer, less impressive, and when saying a certain truck does that mean truck and trailer, vagueness err.

mine currently goes in anybodys, truck and or trailer that is willing. until i buy a car for my wife i dont get my damn titan
