The TaG race will now go after Yamaha Masters due to a red flag in the opening lap. They will be able to repair karts and those not involved in the accident will be allowed to start in their original position. _________________ David Cole

Sorry Gary, make it Birel 8 and Margay 7 as Stewart came in underweight in the last race of the day. We'll have details in the story, which will be posted soon. _________________ David Cole

| This WKA member was in attendance, and my compliments to Gary Lobough and his staff for a beautiful two days--and the track and surroundings look terrific--even had a shuttle golf kart taking people everywhere on the property. Very nice touch. Can someone explain what a tag mulligan is? and congratulations to Curt Paluzzi and his staff in making their video streaming (or whatever they call that techology) debut at the event--very impressive equipment and human talent. One particular drive by Jeff Jewel really impressed me--was great seeing him again in the masters' class--always a class and talented driver. And Chris Werheim's (sp?) pre-final drive was awesome to watch and a special shout out to the Stewart driver--nice driving. And it is always nice to have an indy lights driver, Michelle Bumgarner, in a kart and doing a great job on her Margay. Good location for a WKA event! |

That sucks for Stewart. He had a great weekend. But that's why I said unofficially. |

Some of the numbers (unofficial) of the weekend:
503 total entries
204 unique drivers
22 different chassis manufacturer present
7 different chassis manufacturer won races
Our pit spot was about 40 feet by 30 feet in a very good location. Maybe one of the best. (thank you Gary) plus the passes for 5 people for all weekend its cost us less than 200.00 dollars.
That translates into a great weekend, competitive, full of drivers, good tech, fair racing. _________________ Andre Martins

Does anyone know how Dale is doing? I heard he took a pretty nasty tumble. If someone knows how to get a hold of him please PM me.

What a great weekend at MRP!
The weather was beautiful, the racing was phenomenal, and the facility was excellent! It was my first trip to MRP and I was so glad I got to meet Gary Lobaugh. He and his staff walked around all weekend long visiting the pits to make sure everybody was doing ok. That was very cool.
Plenty of parking, lots of places to watch from (or to hide in, if you're a nervous parent ), friendly staff, clean bathrooms always stocked with plenty of tp (which is really, really important to us ladies...), and just in general a great time!
Thanks to everyone at MRP for your hospitality. I can't wait to go back!!! _________________ Kim Hindman

Kim-
Thank you for the very kind words. Garry and the staff work very hard when an opportunity to host a major event presents itself - and the club weekends are no exception. Everything is run with the highest regard to customer support and this post is already making the rounds within our company as a thank you for their hard work.
Thanks again! _________________ "Luck is when Preparation meets Opportunity"
