Hey all!
This summer/fall will be my first season in kart racing and I'm thinking of starting in a Briggs (TaG/Rotax is too much $$$ and too much travel for me). I live in CT, and there are very few tracks near here. A local mechanic and kart racer I know is a proud member of the NKA, and he talked me into giving it a shot. It's very cheap, very informal (parking lot), very easy, and only 45 minutes from my house! So I will be going to the race on 4/11 to check it out....
Are there any CT karters who have experience with this club? Stories? Thoughts? Advice?
Thanks! |

Sorry I didn't respond, Alex. The race on Sat 4/11 got rained out. I'll be there this Saturday (the 18th). The aforementioned mechanic is interested in selling me a kart. Can't wait to check it out. If you're still interested in coming, I'll be down there at about 7:00 AM to watch/possibly help with track setup. The racing is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM after a drivers' meeting and various practices/qualifying sessions.
