Wow...what an awesome event. Missed it the last two years, but will have to make sure I go back next year.
It was awesome to see people lined up around the track. Even saw MLB's Ken Griffey Jr checking out the karts.

Vince,
We have numerous people watching you and a warning system in place for your return to Indiana.

UNBELIEVABLE...!
To witness that much talent on the track at one time, interact with some of the drivers and experience the level of competition is without a doubt a once in a lifetime event.
The weather turned colder (for Florida) over the course of the pre-finals but we held out and stayed for the final and was treated to some of the finest kart racing I've ever witnessed.
I will remember this one for a long time!

Warm temperatures?? Obviously, you're not from Florida. We consider anything below 75 cold.....below 70 is reaching freezing!! _________________ KEEP WORKING....millions of people on welfare depend on you !! |

Can poor GFC get any worse luck this year?!?
How can the track marshalls not see/pick up stuff like that on the track? Talk about dangerous. It's pretty ridiculous to me that at that level of motorsport that a screwdriver could be left on a kart before it hits the track. Unacceptable on many levels, IMHO. |

Just a brief response:
I'm not sure if you were at the race last night?
..It would have been difficult to see anything on that track last night -- at night, small track, large field.

No, I was not there. But i have worked plenty of night races as a corner worker for scca, imsa and grand-am. I understand that the track was probably very small and therefore very busy, and potentially dark, but it was engrained in us in training that for safety's sake, you don't watch the race, you watch the track and your "zone". It also may have not been safe for the corner marshall to remove the debris during the race, I understand that too. But in reality, it should have never have gotten out there in the first place... |
