On that note, can anyone shed more light on 14j in TaG Masters? Or will we wait for the surprise on Friday? _________________ C. Skowron

It's a scratch entry now. Not sure who it was, I think Jamie Sieracki was going to race Masters, he's been in karting long enough, just hasn't gained the extra weight _________________ David Cole

14J looks like a SKUSA number from Great Lakes Region. I looked at their points archive and 2005-2007 Tag Senior points show that number held by Brandon Doris?
Not sure if that helps?? _________________ Bill Wright

Anybody who has been reading Dave Stevens' blog about the Supernationals will be aware that the track might be a bit bumpy this year. Has anyone else over there now gotten a first-hand view of the surface? |
Got some track shots and video to put in in the next little while. The track is going to be fast. There are some spots that are marked for grinding and filling before Thurs.
ON EDIT: Pix up now, raw video soon.

Thanks Dave, good luck this weekend.
Look at all of the cranes in the background. Still building in Vegas? _________________ C. Skowron

In some of the team previews, I see a couple have drivers listed as racing TaG Pro. Is there a difference between that and TaG Senior? I dont remember seeing anything about it, thought maybe it was a last minute thing or a misprint? Any info is greatly appreciated. _________________ Git-R-Done! |

The day has finally come. Since the 4th of July, the energy and buzz from the Supernats returning to the Rio has been electrifying. Tomorrow we get into the Innovative tow beast and head on over to Vegas. It is going to be a great weekend. See you there. _________________ Innovative Karting/ Intrepid karts

Thanks Chuck. After looking at the vid footage it really doesn't show the track as well as the pics. I may cut it and put some up. I didn't want to put up 10 min of crappy video. YouTube already has enough of that.
The cranes are from the Caesars expansion and the new mega resort City Center. Most of the other new construction came to a halt over the summer when financing dried up. Some big projects were cancelled outright or put on hold.
Track is going to be fast and it's wide. Some good passing zones both under braking and under acceleration on the exit. The 125s both stock and ICC should hit 100 or just south of it on the long straight. Lots of cracks, divots and out right holes as a crew of about 10 guys worked to fill, patch and grind the rough spots. Walked around Tues but Weds is my first real, full day in the paddock fitting the kart and final prep. I'll be Twittering all week, mostly for S4, the rest of the Evolution gang and Superpro.
ON EDIT: @ Ric, those press releases are calling TaG Sr TaG Pro. I guess it sounds better when your big time car guy is in the class. I think some of the press releases are taking liberty with the title but there is a purse, so I'd say it's pro.

I guess that you get the 'Best of the Best' when there is that much money and prestige on the line. |

OK, I'm off to Vegas to drive in my first SuperNats!!!
I've been a corner worker the last two SuperNats but now get to test myself on track at the biggest SuperNats in history!!!
After spending weeks (more like months... ) processing all of the SuperNats race entries and various multiple spreadsheets I think I've got carpal tunnel syndrome...
See you there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! _________________ Ken Schilling

Maybe I missed it, but will there be live coverage on Race Fan Radio or another video/audio outlet?
I'll surely be watching this site, but it'd be nice to hear the action live as well. _________________ Aluminos |
