For the winter I take my motors off and store them in my house.
What is the best way to store them in this configuration? Dry, water, some sort of anti-freeze/anti-corrosive mix? Storage only - pure water will be put in them for the race season (March).

All I have ever done in 11 yrs racing is:
*drain water
*drain oil
*plug & tape up all holes
*store in garage
*thorougly clean _________________ Rich Vito

i have had alot of toys and i do the same thing with all of them with motors
drain the fluids and fill oils with clean stuff and a new filter ( gotta be ready in the spring) anything with water got a drained and dried with a hair dryer( wife loves that one)
spray it completey with wd 40 or similar and bagged / boxed to keep dust and other critters out of it and dirt /dust off. has worked for quads, bikes, lawnmowers...etc ( even boats ( but they have really big bags for those too)
hope this helps |
