Well John it's not in my hands yet!! I dropped the motor off 2weeks ago to be rebuilt and told them to take your time as I'll be laid up till the end of march with my heart operation. But he told me it would be done by the end of Dec.
Sodi is the importer also for Rotax in France.

......... the Web !
but, No ... i was not suggesting the fireball as a substitute, merely as an illustration of the type of clutch to help people visualise how this design is configured .
Good luck with the op, and i hope you have a speedy , painless recovery. _________________ Chad

You were fortunate enough to get that son, so if you stuck with girls like myself (I probably deserved it) Soccer works.

Walt,
That question is best answered by those in charge of inventory at BRP-Rotax and the importers.
Best guess is sometime in early 2009, but if there are motors in the supply chain with the current setup on them, they will be sold first. So, are there 50, 100, 200, 500 motors in the shute?
Either way, the Rotax clutch is not like a KT clutch. You cannot adjust it to slip higher or lower. It locks up at under 3000 rpm and is not disengaged on track (unless a spin happens, etc). BRP goes through great pains to make sure that their quality improvements do not impact performance. All this talk about one clutch potentially being faster than one or the other is just off season babbling. We're all just bored, so we create issues where there are none.
Off to the shop.
