| What does everyone think about the combining of the two pipe classes for the WKA Manufactures Cup Series? |

I guess it depends on where you are. Here in the Indy area pipe is pretty much a dead class compared to TAG and SSX can but even the SSX can is down from a few years ago. _________________ Rich Eisgruber

| Pipe is a good class. 350# is too heavy for medium. 335# or so would get more entries. |

At #350, we won't run it again this year, but then again, we weren't running it again anyway. I do know of another junior that is moving up and planned to run pipe lite, but now isn't because they are smaller and can't do #350. They'll probably just do HPV Lite and hope that holds out for awhile.
Just pound another nail in the juniors moving up that weigh less than #150. Kart racing becomes a big person sport at the senior level. If you're not #160+, you're just forced to pack lead anywhere you can. _________________ High Quality American Made kart stands. Available direct to you or through one of our many dealers.

It's a frequent topic of discussion on how the weight of certain classes do not reflect the contingent racing in them.
But I wonder sometimes if the typical age requirements that define most Junior and Senior classes are a bit askew and do not reflect the demographics in karting today... _________________ C. Skowron

I think Tim makes a valid point. I have felt that since participation in the KT pipe classes have been weak at all levels the last few years that it might be better to have Light, Med and Heavy SSX classes and run Light and Heavy on Saturday and Med and Masters on Sunday. This would help both the heavy and light drivers to run two classes. Just a thought.
