Hey guys, i do lots of things too. I saved up my money for a about a year so i can buy a kart. I eventually bought a rolling chassis with a box stock kt100. I built up everything on the kart. I had some instructional help from a friend who is a long time karter. Ive never worked on kart clutches before so things like that i would need coaching in. Other things i got done are setting the pop off pressure and building up the motor or straightening an axle. Its nice to have friends whos karters. My father only comes to my races once in a while. I have to load the van and drive there my self to the races. Im what your known as a one man time. The number one thing i hate doing is changing tires. Of course i help out my friends too. My friend had a bent axle and i swapped that with another friend while he was fixing someone elses exhaust, like a big family The one thing i can honestly say i want is support from my father, or at least more encouragement. But all in all im happy to be out there and hopefully tomorow Ill be racing for "real" for the first time for the long island championship. Im 16 btw, im just glad i met those people who helped me start karting. I salute you! |
