First day of official practice went real smooth. Lots of karts and fun times. Usual fast guys in each class and some surprises as well. Anyone who has not been to Santa Maria is missing out. Great weather (sunny and 70's), food and hospitality. King Taco sponsored a chicken dinner for everyone last night and do not skip the tri-tip sandwich if you ever go there.

Racing starts tomorrow and hopefully results will get posted as soon as possible. I'm not sure where some Region 7 drivers are but we miss you. Jacob Will, Elliott Skeer, Misty Balser... hope to see you at the next race.

Team Topkart PKS would like to thank all of the sponsors, IKF Santa Maria and everyone else involved for another great Nationals.

I just wanted to wish everyone the best of luck in this competition and to remember what Wayne and I always preached - These are the times of your life - right here and now! Enjoy being with your family and racing friends. Treat each other with respect and be the worthy opponent!

It's really hard sitting here at home and not being there with you all - I am with you in my thoughts and I'm sure Wayne is there in spirit. I will be in contact with the scouts seeking this year's Lake Speed Achievement of Excellence award. I want to make sure I hear all about this year's candidates!

Good Luck to everyone.
On one hand, I miss being there, on the other I glad I'm not... Laughing
Special good luck to Jr 2 driver Adrian Starrantino and his tuner (my son, Tyler)
They make a really strong team and I predict a few podiums!
