I'm returning to the Rock after a one-year absense, Todd. And I'll be announcing the whole thing: shifters, TaG, Yami and diggers too!

Really looking forward to it. Cole's going to race, so I'll be doing live site updates from the scoring trailer.

Let's see another strong showing by the Merlin Nation! In particular good luck to the BKC boys, TJ Koyen, Tommy Anderson and Jason Foley.

Thanks Rob. I hope I can do my best Wink

Practice has been underway for most of the day here at the Concept Haulers Motor Speedway in Norway, IL. My first glance at the track and I can tell its going to be great racing throughout the day. Pits are full and the track is busy.

Couple Notes from the paddock:

CJ Lintner is running under Franklin Motorsports tent this weekend aboard a Merlin. He sat in the TaG and Can karts yesterday for the first time and seeing the Norway track for the first time this morning though he is still running Comet Kart Sales engine power.

FirstKart.com has brought in another new competitor to the Man. Cup series - James Michael Sullivan. The Colorado driver is in his first year in the Junior ranks after running Cadet last year.

The Finke family is working hard to keep the facility in order. After leaving the Iowa International Raceway earlier this year, the entire family is getting settled in at the Norway facility and looking to bring more people from the Chicago area to the historic course.

More Updates:

Julia Landauer is also aboard a Merlin through Mike Doty Racing. She has switched over from the Birel in just TaG as her old kart was worn down.

Mark Dismore Jr. is switching over to Intrepid from Arrow in TaG but sticking with the purple chassis that is running fast in the Can class.

Travis Firing, the Ironman 150 winner, is doing Ironman duty this weekend with six classes, including TaG, Can, and HPV. Super tuner Randy Fulks is there helping along with Firing's dad.

Practice is done for the day. I was only able to get the camera out for a few photos. We'll have more from Go Racing Magazine throughout the weekend.
