|
|
Last year at the Supernationals the S5 class had 18 entries. That was a good turn out for such a short notice, that there was a S5 class. This year we have run the class at Pro Kart Challenges, So Cal division with only 2 to 4 entries showing up at each race. I was hopefull that the class would grow from how many came out to Supernats. So the question I have is:
Who is going to the Supernats to run the S5 class? AND Would you like to run another JR. class (HPV-2 or TAG Jr)?
I really would like to hear all your feedback.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. |

We have been running HPV2 Jr in the NorCal PKC for the last two races and will do so for the remaining races for the year. We would love to get more HPV2 Jr drivers to make the trip up from SoCal. Tom Kutscher and the SKUSA team have been very accommodating to the HPV2 class to help get it off the ground allowing us to run YHC tires and our own fuel. SKUSA membership is not required for your first race and they have a money back guarantee. We will go to a spec fuel at the next race.
Our next race is at Infineon August 8th and 9th. I think we will have a big turnout since there are no conflicts with IKF, Stars or any other major series. The racing has been great in the two races we already have had. So come on up, I heard some other Region 7 teams may be there as well and there might be some big news to go with it!
From the NorCal ProKart website;
Tom Kutscher has decided that testing the HPV2-Jr class at the last Nor Cal race was a huge success, and would like to again offer it as a class for the next Nor Cal race coming up next weekend, July 12th. As long as the turnout is at least 12 karts, the class will be permanently added to the series.
We had the kart count. _________________ "It's all fun and games until it starts itching and burning" |

You are going to win the long distance award!!! All the way from Hawaii, That is cool.
Maybe Skusa will give away something for the longest distance traveled to race the S5 class?
I know there are more S5's out there. IF you need one built, let me know.
Keep the ball rolling, I want to hear from you, that you are going to the Supernats to run the S5 class |

It looks like we will be entering S5 and HPV2 at the SuperNats. I'll make some calls to see how many NorCal Jr's will be there for S5.
Is it November yet??? _________________ "It's all fun and games until it starts itching and burning" |

OK, now it is August. Entry form is online, and they say we have to have at least 25. Can we do it? How many S5s are going to Vegas?? We have one driver for sure, from CO, Cole MacEwen. _________________ The Colorado Karter

There may be 5 from NorCal, I'll try and get a better head count this weekend at the NorCal PKC. As far as I know, all of them will also be running HPV2. _________________ "It's all fun and games until it starts itching and burning" |

If anyone wants to run this class and does not have a package put together, I have a extra S5 package on a CRG all put together and race ready for sale or rental. I can bring it to the Supernats and tune it for you. All it needs, is a driver.
I am 20 miles away from Willow Springs, Ca. and able to take it out for testing any time for anyone wanting to get into this great class for JR shifters.
Just PM me to let me know. |

We’ve got to have the S5 class at the SKUSA Nat’s! I talked with Tom today and he really wants the class to make. If you’ve already made the investment in the kart then you need to be at this race. Don’t wait around for other people to enter just go ahead and do it. If you know other S5 racers - call them! Get them pumped up and excited about the S5 class running at the SKUSA Nat’s. WE ARE!!!!
Thanks,
Mark |

Watching the little punks in S5 buzz around the track here in Denton has been cool. I know there are a bunch from TX going.
Heck, anybody that has an extra stock-honda around just needs to throw a restrictor in it and bring their son/daughter etc. I dont have any (that i know of). |
