It seems like--- to me that everywhere I go I hear that Auto Racing has a problem and How do we fix it? It's nearly a common thread on any Auto Racing forum World Wide and magazines often have stories about what we need to do to fix it. Also a common topic on shows like RPM tonight.
While I also read & hear each series or auto racing type claiming to be the fastest growing sport in the world. They all can't be the fastest growing can they? This cliche is losing it's respect.
When was Auto Racing/karting so big that we are persuaded to think that something is wrong, that we must do this or else? Is it dying?
Are we installing a Conspiracy Theory on ourselves? I wonder.
I "venture" to say racing is probably bigger than it ever was.
Could it be that so many people are doing it--- that to be in autoracing just isn't what it used to be and we are threatened subcounciously or consciously. Are we trying to turn it into what it used to be, an ELITE sport.
I wonder........
