This weekend will host the second round of the WKA Manufacturer's Cup Series, set to tackle the sprint track inside the Lowe's Motor Speedway outside Charlotte, NC. Over 400 pre-entries are recorded with a chance to break the 600 mark again, as the program did in Daytona for round one.

how can I find the EKN crew Sunday?
I'm thinking of riding the scoot down and checking out the show, maybe cast around for a good used set of YHC's _________________ Gil "HardRock" Atkinson

Gil,
I'll be in the scoring tower.
Yes, I forgot to mention that www.RaceFanRadio.com will be here with live internet broadcast throughout the weekend. I'll sneek over to get the hours of the broadcast.
I just arrived after delays at 2 airports. It's sunny but very windy, with temps below freezing this morning. A jacket is required this afternoon. I'm going to roam the paddock and get some notes. _________________ David Cole

Sounds like there are a bunch of cadets and Jr Sportman (both yamaha and HPV's). Any chance we can get an approximate kart count by class?
Looking forward to following the coverage both on here and on racefanradio since being 1000 miles from my son racing is going to make me crazy (crazier, for those who know me ).
Cheering (from a distance) for the G2Racing team (#44). (If you happen to see them, tell them mom says hello, and give them any tips you can).

RaceFanRadio.com will be live from 10am to 6pm both Saturday and Sunday.
The clouds have come across the speedway and the temperature has drop considerably. Numbers are not as high as Daytona but still strong. TaG is down, the level of talent entered is tough and only allowing 30 karts in the main event could be a factor. Drivers are getting a good amount of practice today but wrestling the changing weather conditions.
We'll have complete results along with top ten updates beginning tomorrow morning for qualifying. _________________ David Cole

The track was really free throughout the course of the day, almost slick.
Winds seemed to stay in the 10 - 15 mph range throughout most of the day. Even though it was sunny the wind didn't allow the track to heat up so as a result the track never really built any rubber up on it either. From what I could see everyone was fighting loose go karts all day. _________________ Dave Kraeer #24
