Well race fans,

It's that time of the year, time for the third edition of the Mazda RoboPong 200 presented by Bridgestone, taking place at the New Castle Motorsports Park outside Indianapolis, IN.

EKN is excited to be attending the event with the full Trackside Live coverage, beginning Friday with a preview and complete entry list as of Thursday night, with possible late entries expected Friday. Saturday will have complete qualifying coverage along with updates of the LCQ every 10 laps.

The main event for Sunday, scheduled to start 70 karts around the 1-mile course, will have updates every 20 of the 200 laps.

Good luck to all those competing and if you have any questions, please feel free to post.

Also, if anyone needs a driver, I'll have my stuff with me Wink Laughing

Looking forward to the event. We moved the trailer out there today and will be doing some engine break in and testing this week. Stay tuned for an annoucement of teams and drivers. Eight drivers competing on four teams....

Was out at the track a little earlier this evening and there were about half a dozen teams practicing already, the staff is mowing, cleaning, and bagging a few hundred new hay bales...It's race time!

If anyone needs info about New Castle, feel free to e-mail me. Let me clarify that...if you need to know how to go fast at New Castle, don't e-mail me. Smile Where to eat, what to do, where to find things, etc. I can help with.
Current forecast is a low of 41 and a high of 64 on Saturday, and 48 / 68 on Sunday. No rain either day.

Front page of www.indycar.com today!

Since they're calling it 'The Indy 500 of karting", perhaps I can get the Mayor to nickname New Castle "Kart Racing Capital of the World". Smile

I'm so excited for this event! I haven't turned in my entry yet because I don't know if I'll have a third driver which I would like to have. I'm working on trying to get two guys but I don't know if either will work out. I'll post later on tonight if I am going to enter!

I'd like to thank the staff at NCMP espically Mike, Warren, and that other kid I don't know his name yet but they know everything there is to know about hay bales now. You guys do such a great job with the track and making it run smoothly every weekend. Also to Dismore Sr. to build this track and maybe making it the "Kart Racing Capitol of the World" is just an awesome thing to do! Thanks NCMP.

Can't wait! This is my favorite race of the year. I'll be getting in Friday night. 70 karts on the track is going to be sick. Constant traffic! Last year was about brakes, I think this year will be about being able to get through traffic clean. A lot of time can be made up or last in traffic, classic endurance racing.

You don't have to wait on the Speed Channel coverage.

Racefanradio.com will be broadcasting live from trackside both days with the broadcast beginning at 10 AM Eastern time.

Anyone want to make a guess on what it will take to be in the top 50 for qualifying?

My guess: 1:07.900
