Yes, I used the search feature
Background:
I have racing in an “arrive and drive” series and lapping sessions and am ready for the jump to owning my own kart. I have transportation, enough budget and time. I just need some questions answered before purchasing a Kart. Also, I live in so-cal. Bakersfield. I need some help.
----------
I’ve decided to go rotax since it seems to be a popular choice and good for new owners. Like many first time buyers I’m looking into the used market for a “Lightly” used rotax that I can learn on but also still be competitive. Also, I was hoping to get extra parts to get me started, maybe a kart stand.
Questions:
1 I am a little confused on leagues and what not. Gatorz, IKF, Local club races?
I know it depends who you ask, but once I get a Rotax what league should I run?
2 Also, I believe the Rotax can run in NEARLY all TAG events. If I get a CRG chassis with a rotax engine I can run in pretty much any TAG league? What are common problems with not meeting specs?
3 What are some common problems with buying used that I should look after when testing a used kart?
4 Also, if in Bakersfield or near socal area. What are your favorite rotax dealers and shops? |
