Hello EKN viewers,

This weekend, the WKA Manufacturer's Cup heads to the BeaveRun Motorsports Complex in Wampum, PA for the third round in the series. We are thrilled to release the news that our man David Cole will be attending the event thanks to the support of the WKA, bringing our in-depth coverage to this awesome series.

We'll have our event preview posted on Friday and will begin our live EKN Trackside coverage beginning on Friday afternoon. You can find everything from reports, photo galleries, and results at the Official Event Page - which will be posted on Friday as well.

Let the discussion begin! If you have any questions, feel free to ask away...we'll do what we can to answer them for you.

Look out for Ryan Phillips and Dakota Bell on the new Bandit 2-cycle chassis. Dakota was on pole for the GLSS in his first 2-stroke race ever, and Ryan has been very quick in testing.

Just in case people have not heard this, but the track is not open for parking until 2:00 PM on Thursday. Talk about some BS! WKA should have some control over this, but I guess not. I know its not officially a WKA thing until Friday, but still!

I thought it was a WKA thing. I remember reading the entry sheet with the schedule for the week and it says something about not being able to get in until thursday....maybe I am wrong

Up here in Toronto it's been raining pretty hard all day. We just had some wicked storms roll through and I suspect its much the same just south of us near the track. We are still thinking of coming down to watch the action and root for Jeff Hawley (from Florida). Best of luck to all the drivers this weekend.

Cheers,

Very Happy

Interesting note for sure. I know the Bandit chassis from our days publishing Speedway USA Magazine and they built a great product. I'd like to know more about the two-cycle kart. What's the tubing sizes? Axle? Chassis layout? Wheel material?

The extent of my knowledge is that it is very similar to Bandit's Y2K line of 4-cycle sprint chassis but with stronger spindles. Both Dakota and Ryan are riding the same design.

You'll have to catch up with Tommy Triplett or the Weisers for more specifics.

Hey folks,

David Cole is en route to BeaveRun right now after a flight cancellation in Detroit this morning. David will head straight for the track and will begin with some pit notes, giving us the inside scoop on who's quick and if there are any interesting entries (hint, hint).

He's also on assignment to track down these Bandits to get us some images.

Well, I'm finally here and hooked up on the Verizon.

They are into their fourth round of practice of the day, with the sessions scheduled to stop around 4pm.

I'll be heading out to the paddock now to get some notes thus far on the day as there are no timed sessions today.
