Hello everyone,

This week is host to the IKF Sprint/Shifter Grand Nationals at the Buttonwillow Raceway Park in California. On tap is five days of competition with today starting with a full day of practice and four days of racing to follow.

Go Racing Magazine's Sean Buur will be on hand, covering the event for EKN, and will submit his report and photo gallery depending on the internet in the area. For those who have any updates either from the paddock, hotel, or from home, please feel free to post here.

Good luck to all those participating.

Good luck everyone. I really wish I was there, but oh well graduation is definitely way more important and definitely more fun (not that 5 days in over 100 degree heat in buttonwillow isnt fun.) Hope to see a lot of updates throughout the days fort hose of us who can't make it out.

Sorry to hear about everyone who couldn't make it this year. Buttonwillow is putting on a great event so far. The Bar-B-Q dinner sponsored by PKS tonight was free to everyone and I heard great things about it.

The officials have been excellent in letting competitors know about tech issues they happen to run across, so they don't find out after the race. They also kept the track open an additional hour for much needed last minute testing.

The usual group of fast drivers are looking good. Masters, Albiani, Underwood, Licata, Martinez, are at the top of their classes and some new faces are certainly going to surprise the fields.

I have to mention that the Topkart bunch were the bright spot in the pits with their neon shirts supplied by Grand Products. Birel won the largest tent and Martinez definately gets the prize for the coldest camp.

For those who mentioned in the other posts about arriving on Saturday for the shifter event, they have scheduled three practices that day so you'll have a little more time to get adjusted. The usual two practices on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Good luck to everyone. Stay cool. Good luck to you Kyle, with your grad thing. You better make it to the 2008 IKF grands. Rumor has it that there will be UMBRELLA girls.

I figure the money we are saving due to the Nationals being scheduled so early, we will have enough money to finish the year out in style.

Thanks, I think?

I told the boy, no more than 5 MPH over the speed limit...we'll see how THAT works out.......Maybe Shelby will keep him under control.. Rolling Eyes

We Just heard the word that Luis Tyrell took home the Duffy in HPV 1. Congratulations! Great job for continuing the excellence of Pitts Performance power!

Watch out for this fast kid. He's going to carry the Cadet Classes into the future!

You are the man, Luis! Keep it going. Very Happy

Devin
