Hello everyone.
I and my teammates of "Nut Pack Racing" just ran the SCCA's Single Course Pro Solo with the Finger Lakes Region, at the Seneca Army Depot site.
If you get a chance to go there and run, Do it! the surface is smooth and predictable, except for two ripples near the concrete/asphalt junctions which don't jolt, but may alter your path a bit...
Regarding Devens, I was very disappointed to see a couple of years ago that Shifters were no longer allowed there, as I had planned to make the National Tour that summer. I did run my Renspeed there the first year I had it, 2000, and I was thrilled with the surface and available choice of driving lines/styles. If you care to look in results archives, you'll find that I was only beaten by an AM, and a BM, both nationally competitive cars at the time.
The reason for the ban I was told (hearsay) had less to do with the club than one specific administrator at the site. Not being near there, or a NER member, I have no dog in the fight other than I'd like to return one day and have another go at it.
