Lots of front grip so it takes a very delicate touch to get it to rotate.

Not if you're smooooooth.

Since everyone drives differently, everyone is going to like a different setup, but I think most will agree on how they want their kart to feel. It'll just be a different setup to get there.

Most would want a balanced kart, turns in nice, tracks around the corner well, gets nice inside rear wheel lift, as much grip as possible without binding. But since everyone drives differently, setup will be different for each person.

I like for mine to have almost telepathic turn-in, perfect balance, tons of grip but still free with a hint of oversteer on exit.

Unfortunately it almost never gets there. Don't think of the set-up in such a generic way. Different handling characteristics are better suited to different types of tracks. Tracks with longer corners usually need more frt grip to keep the kart turning and you may be faster on a slippery track by going for all out grip.

I'll use F1 tracks as an example. Monaco needs a set-up that pivots around the front and and has good traction. Suzuka or Silverstone is all about high speed balance with traction not being that important.

Soooo, look at what the kart needs to be fast at your track and try to get it to handle that way.

I like to have tons of front grip. I want the chassis to go where I want it, but have the rear so there is just enough grip to keep it from sliding out of underneath me going around the corner.

Slight, almost imperceptible amount of oversteer . Positive feel on the front end, not too heavy and not too "darty". Being able to feel and sense the rear load transfer helps too. Slight lift of the inside rear wheel at the tightest turn on the track,

Thats how I "like" it, but its not always the quickest it will depend on kart, track and conditions. For example, in a shifter I usually apex later, get the inside wheel to the ground sooner and try and accelerate hard out of the turn, with a lower powered kart I will set it up to keep the inside rear unloaded a little longer to keep it free. Unloaded being a relative term, its not neccacarily off the ground.

If you are looking for rear grip. Stiffer axle, longer hubs.
