I seem to remember you have to finish in the top 10 in your home region to qualify to participate in SouthBend. Could someone confirm this for me.

Thanks
Russ

Hi Russ,

Although I am not sure just what the requirements will be, it should for sure turn out to be one Hell of a show. I suggest that you contact JR Clausen at Power Source (www.powersourceracing.com). As the director of the SKUSA Mission Region (many will agree that this has turned out to be a fantastic season for this group), JR is more than qualified to set you straight on what the plan is. Not to mention, you'll probably get the info a lot faster than if you were to contact SKUSA HQ directly. Hope this helps.

Larry

I believe there may be a change of the date of the US Amatuer Championship. After an Email to SBRP There seems to be conflict with the Notre Dame Football sheduele ie..(home Game). Maybe we will see some info out soon on this topic. Just passing along info. Not trying to start a riot

In reference to this date. It is completely my error and should not be blamed on anyone else. I have a panic call into Stan Brynarski but he is just getting back from Portland. When I originally looked at the date with Stan I think I looked at the '02 ND football schedule instead of the '01. As soon as I can talk with Stan and a decision can be made we will post any update. Sorry for the inconvenience to everyone but give us a chance to correct it.

Marshall, the dyslexic scheduler

Marshall,
I certainly hope that the schedule change is for the better, i.e., a later date as opposed to one that is sooner. Don't make it too close to the Super Nats. This trip will be tough enough as it is (coming from San Diego). PLEASE make any announcements as soon as possible. An e-mail would be great! Thanks for the heads up.

I talked with Stan on Wednesday, SKUSA has decided to let the date stand. Stan and Dana are calling all of the motels in the area to see where there are rooms available. With the visiting team being USC, the chance of rooms to the west in LaPorte and Michigan City being available are good. If it was a team within driving distance it would be more difficult. I have a mailing list for SKUSA and you can register for it at www.sbrp.com. As soon as we have more information we will post it and send a message to everyone on the list.

I wonder if the people at SKUSA realize the rooms for this weekend are running $175 to $250 a night for Friday and Saturday?
There are some lower prices as you get 20 to 30 miles away.

Well, Larry, we consider SBRP $ the MKK our "sprint" home. How close do you want to be? We're about 90min away (less if Ted drives!). Rent is cheap...just ask Blaney. 'Sides, I know some good places to...um, um, er,...eat, yeah, that's right, eat! Your son is over 21, right

Mishiwaka and Elkhart are not all that far away, either, just a quick shot down the toll road.

PS...if who just want to ship your kart only back here, I could probably bring our trailer down, sans kart, but with all the tools, etc. you should need.

SKUSA will stand on the date.
We will have motel info in a few days.
Charlie & Marshall are right, motels just 30 min. down the road are not effected.

P.S.
Your right, this will be one hell of a show!

See ya there,

Stan

Stan,

How about some other info?

Like entry fee? What does it include? How many sets of tires do we get and so on?

You're gonna' regret this one! Consider us your personal pests. Extreme Karting will be handling the chores of hauling out from California. Randolph, he's 15. But with a little make-up...We'll be talking! Thanks much.

Requirements for the US Amatuer Championships...
Current SKUSA license B and under and the
desire to race!
Flight system for heats will determine the final 32 for each feature.
Come one, come all!
More info to come soon.

See ya there!

Stan,
I was under the understanding that the USAN was for classes NOT currently running in PMT. Is this correct? Any chance of "ringers" being allowed to show up from the PMT? After the first "Stars" event this year, I have to ask. Thanks.
