Thinking of going the f125 route soon... BUT I am 6'4" tall...230 pounds.. I am not concerned about minimum weight.... I am concerned about fitting at all... are any chassis out there that cater to the tall of the world... No one runs karts in my area... so even a test sitting is hard... my have to come out to DC to check out the emerging gaggle out there... _________________ Jason Vehige

many karts offer an extended front porch for people who are taller which lengthens the front of the kart. _________________ ART Grand Prix America Team Manager

Jason, we've got many drivers, although I'm not sure there will definitely be a seat you fit in. It's likely there will be because we have a couple of heavy drivers.
The previous owner of my kart was about 6'2" and didn't have a problem. Generally, turn-in and grip is determined by weight transfer, but you can have too much.
If your very tall, it will be easy transfer weight, possibly too easy. The seat on my kart was layed back quite a bit, which lowers that weight transfer and is likely the solution of any tall driver.
The best thing to do will be to stop out and sit in some karts, we'll be at Fed Ex Field this Sunday (depending on how many chicken out because of rain...).
While nobody in our group is really tall, the previous Solo National champion is not much different than your size!
Find the right kart with P.I. (Programmable Ignition, 415lbs minimum weight vs. 385lbs without) and you might be the perfect weight anyway! My CTS chassis weighs around 190 without lead and driver, so there's hope in not being overweight.

Reigning Solo II National champion Tom Harrington is about the same size (6'4" and 420lb with kart). He has an extended porch kart that moves the pedals forward and allows the driver's weight to remain in the correct position. You can get modify any kart to "extend" the porch.
