Hi folks,

I'm in Homestead this weekend to compete in the opening round of the Florida Winter Tour and will try to post a daily wrap-up each evening with results. I will also work to post the top fives in this forum as it happens.

Tim...

The Prefinals are getting underway right now. And yes, it is like the old days. Chris Egger's running the race, Murley's here helping out, I grabbed the mic from Bill for a few races...its very cool. It's the old crew back together again. Bill was actually a little choked up when he stepped back and took a good look at what's hapening here. The place is packed!

Wharff looks real good and I expect a good race out of him. Morad's flying though, and if he can get out front, he should be the man. He and Spicer had a good rivalry going last year and they've fired it up again.

We're back at it baby!

250+ entries, Florida weather, Howden on the mic ... what's not to love? Karting is alive and well at the Winter Tour.

Quick update on Finals:

Spicer wins Pro Shifter, Alexander Sims wins ICA.

More to come as I head for the timing building and Tom Thelan, the T&S Master.

Jason...

I was running fifth and got bumped off the line in the hairpin on the final lap. I tried an agressive move to get him back, but had to park it at the apex and stalled the motor. I lost five positions getting it restarted. It was a dumb move on my part, but we'll see if I can grab some positions in the main. I start 11th.

We're off schedule by quite a bit due to the packed grids, but otherwise, everything has been great. It's warm, sunny and breezy...not a bad weekend all around.

We'll have full main event results and a small report later this evening. It all depends on if I have enought energy to even get out of the kart, and if I can stay awake past 8:00 pm. Wink
