Hi folks,

Please use this official EKN threead for discussion on the SKUSA Supernationals, which is taking place in Las Vegas this weekend. Please keep the discussion clean, on-topic and let's see if we can keep the 'congratulations' posts to a minimum.

Hey guys - isn't Wiegand supposed to be out there this weekend? You seemed to forget him in your Homepage Poll. Thats my vote for the weekend.

Looking forward to updates throughout the weekend, especially the Happy Hour with Howden!

The SuperNationals are now underway as the first round of practice has been completed. The feedback on the track layout has been very positive - a definite improvement from last year in terms of safety. The racing factor looks to be high as well. Kyle Martin told EKN that there will be numerous places to pass.

We'll have an update later today, beginning with a track description.

Check out the EKN Trackside Event Homepage - available via the link in Features - to easily access all of our updates from this weekend.

I agree, you would think he would be up there. He was the STARS eastern champion, as well he charged hard through the field in the STARS final. I guess thats what happens after you crash out and have a bad weekend. Even if he is not on the poll I am still excited to see some great racing this weekend.

Hi guys,

On the Wiegand deal, we were paring the number of poll candidates down to five options and using Kyle's past SuperNats performances as a consideration, he did not make the top five. Knowing Kyle, we may have just given him an unfair advantage over the field by pissing him off. Very Happy If this is true, we apologize now to the rest of the field.

The kid has been quick all season and it will be interesting to see if this will be his year in Las Vegas.

Just curious, how can someone race SuperPro and Semi-Pro the same weekend?

Doesn't quite add up to me.

We will see what happens today but my guess is that Zach Schiff should qualify in the top 10. Besides he has one of the best tuners out there.

Best to luck to all the competitors.

Rob and crew thank you for bringing us the results in a timely manner.

When you don't have a licensing structure, how do you stop it? I've seen nothing in the rules that would prevent it.

267 entries is very impressive, especially considering the Fontana race is in the same region. My hat's off to Joe for pulling it together this year.

The track looks pretty good.

I did find the comment a "generous 10 pound weight break" amusing considering the history and statistics. It would be helpful to get a breakdown on the 125 SemiPro ICC/Moto content for the results to let the Moto folks know where they will stand next year in this class structure.
