Can anyone tell me which 3rd gear needs to be replaced in a CR80? I guess there's two.
Thanks.

John, the weak link is third gear on the counter shaft. Third and fourth gear on the main shaft are combined as a pair of gears.
We make and stock these gears for your CR80. Hope this helps. J.R. at Power Source |

If not yet broken, you can pick it out as the 28T gear that looks like it was designed to fail.
We have been running J.R.s third gear since he came out with it, and as I sit here with the tranny in hand I can see that it looks just as good as when it was new, but....the 27T fourth gear is missing a tooth. Is this the new "weakest link" J.R.? |

Rick, maybe you can send me that fourth gear. Hopefully it is not a trend.
Cheers, J.R. |
