I recently purchased a barely used 1999 Trackmagic Demon with a CR 125. It is a kart that has never been on a race track. The person I bought it from originally ordered it as a complete package from Trackmagic. He drove it around a parking lot a few times and then stored it. He stated to me that the motor was a "bone stock" 1999 CR 125.
Here's my question....the carb is a Mikuni. It has a "TM" cast into the slide housing and the numbers "T3827" and "H931" etched on the body. It also has a "SUDCO" Racing sticker on the float bowl. Does anyone know what I've got -- being new to shifters, I'm at a loss. I was surprised to see a Mikuni on a Honda motor.

Wayne, if this is a silver (natural aluminum) finish the carb is a Mikuni TMX 38mm carb. If it is the dark anodized model it is the TMS.
Hope this helps, J.R. at Power Source. |
