Been looking forward to Aug 1, 2001 for awhile - that is the date SKUSA said the 2002 rules would be available. Hopefully, they will show up before I finish this post.

Come-on, did anyone really expect SKUSA to do something when they said they would-i.e. on time

I have been looking for the SKUSA release where they said the rules would be out in August. Did they say August 1 or did they say August. In one their late, in the other, they still have time.

There is SKUSA time and there is real people time. To figure out when 8/1/01 is in SKUSA time, subtract the number of letters in thier name from the month, add the same number to the day. Then take the number of Promoto's won by Scott Speed and multiply by .25 then Add that number to the year. See how easy that is.

Seems like that means that S2 & S3 2002 engine standards are supposed to be out by August 1, 2001 not the rule book, still lots of other classes and divisions in SKUSA.

I do recall Greg Stasko mentioning that they had planned on having an early release of the rule book for 2002 compared to years past.

I'm sure we can all look forward to that. I believe a gentleman had mentioned that Mr. Murley would be making some kind of announcement in a couple weeks, I think it's getting around/near to that time.

So hopefully S2 & S3 motors might be the lucky ones and be a little ahead of the game on 2002 rules compared to the rest of classes.

I know all you guys have much better things to do so let me put you at ease. The S2 updates for 2002 will be posted before the end of the month (August). The rest of the book will be posted on line most likely by mid Septmeber. After a brief response time it will go to print and be dispursed sometime in December. There is a very talented team working on the book as we speak. Between revisions and a complete update to the book structure, this is a very big project. I assure that all the volunteers are working their butts off to get this done in a very timely manner. Thanks for your patients.

Maybe they are waiting for Murley to return from his trip in Italy. I'm sure it will be out soon. Didn't someone once say...patience is a virtue?? Now, if we could just find someone in racing with patience...

Rick, you can't keep the truly wicked off line for long? Good try though.

For those of us from the 60's, you remember the poster of the two vultures, ones says to the other, "Patience my @*#, I'm going to kill something."

Great, the 2002 book should be out by March 2003 then.
