Yes and you have one of those "old" chassis whipping up on the kids. Do you know what CRG stands for? |

Hey Mark and Tony, Renard Karts are huge in Mexico, One of my customers has purchased the rights to manufactur there karts in Mexico. Check their link out They have a very high standard to keep.
Mark, you should look at getting some in and trying them out. I would be glad to introduce you to them.

Why yes,
C = Carlo Vanaria
R = Roberto Vanaria
G = Giancarlo Tinini
"Kali" Vanaria is the guy who started the company in the '70's I believe.
We'll see how the old Kali fares on the streets of Cedar Park this weekend.

You can get away with Road Racing your kart but I don't know about sprint. Lucky for you it is a street race. Your answer is correct. What did SSC origianlly stand for?
To add to this post it is the old "win on Sunday Sell on Monday" I have maintianed that most chassis are very comparable it is the components that tend to differ. Also some of the chassis made for badging other companies are sometimes made of different grade materials. The frame demisions and style may be the same but not the tubing or it's thickness. |

Well I'll be... Trust me Darren, the last thing I need is another project! So are we taking bets on how long it is until someone is importing these chassis' into the states?

Oh I know where you are coming from.
I met them in KY at the 1999 kart expo.
Not sure what time frame, but with the reynard name it could be a winner. (in sales and at the track)

Hey Oscar, finishing second by 0.005 sec is getting whipped up on? Ouch!
Won't happen anymore, you've shamed us into full onslaught mode. Rebels will rule again!!!

Many a drunken meal in an Italian restaurant (where else?) can be spent trying to work out why a certain kart manufacturer is cool - if you can achieve coolness among the 15 year olds you have a license to print money for a couple of years. The real trick is to have steady sales in between the inevitable coolness cycles like Tony does. I don't think people buy Tonys because of Davide Fore and (I assume) Scott Speed, I think it's more because of the vague aura that consistent success brings.
Although I feel that what you do with the chassis is second only to the drivers performance in the equation, I'm cynical enough to think that if the particular brand of chassis was so important the drivers wouldn't swap around when someone offers them a better deal. |

Chris,
I see what you're talking about.
I like how you see everyone jumping from one chassis brand to another every year.
I guess with my parents always having to buy the chassis we rarely switch.
The list of chassis I've raced since I started in 1987
Margay
Coyote
CRG
BRM

yeah....and that was .005 sec at 115 mph. Margin of victory: 9.62 inches!
Indeed, hardly a whipping. But fun!!
By the way guys, I've got some interesting digital still photos from video that my dad shot of Stuart and I duking it out to the line at Texas World. If you you want to see them, let me know.
