It's Parrilla with two R's just to confuse you... |

| I've been told that Kosmic is also made by Tony Kart. |

Yep, as is Trulli. Parolin also does some work for them.
I read in a magazine that Mike Wilson and by implication Paul Tracy karts are made by Rakama, an IAME subsidiary, but Lynn Haddock says that isn't true and he should know.

I think every karter should import their own chassis, there seems to be enough of them out there. |

| Someone said Hasse was made by Tony Kart, i believe this was true at one time, but now Hasse builds there own stuff. I think that if Hasse was built by TonyKart then they would run with Vortex motors in Europe (as do trulli, and kosmic), but i believe they use Titan or Stark motors? Mary-Ann im sure you can correct something i said there, but thats what my jumbled memories came together as. Oh yah PCR was made by Parolin as well until about 4 years ago. |

Mary-Ann, the crate our Tracy kart came in had Rakama printed all over it.
Maybe they just got a good deal on left over shipping crates from Rakama?? |

I guess its not so funny if you are shelling out the money to buy them
I think we have all seen the guy though who shows up to the track, presumably to his first race, and he has the brand new 'hot' chassis, the latest 'factory suit', all the stickers on his trailer, etc. and he has yet to even REALLY drive the thing.
Dont get me wrong, that just means the factory driver did their part in helping to sell his or her chassis, but its just a little funny to see at times.
Especially when you consider that chassis:
1: are VERY similar, if not made by the same companies other chassis are made by.
2: possibly have the least amount to do with the overall equation of winning..
I dont know... |

| Rakama is the small factory in Italy started by Mike Wilson after he retired from driving. He remained in Italy to live and start his business. Paul Tracy coordinated with Mike concerning the PT chassis. |

The Haase team uses Titan engines now, they are either officially or in effect the same company. I think they make their own chassis but I'm not certain, PCR might well make them. Stark is Lenzokart's engine division owned by the father of a Birel/TM works driver... The bosses of GP and PCR are brothers according to Tom Argy... GP karts are made by CRG but they use Fox (Biesse) engines... Comer make chainsaw engines... Who's confused?? |

Tom (age 15) - 6 years, 5 classes, 7 manufacturers, 10 karts
Dad (age 42) - 7 years, 3 classes, 4 manufacturers, 4 karts
4 of Tom's karts were bought purely and simply because they were cool only one of them (this years CRG) has worked out
I want to name my kart line after a Harry Potter character, but I think it might be the kiss of death
