SO let's see;
$200 plus $330 for 2 sets of tires = $530
So that's more expensive than the last promoto. But for some reason 2 weeks from the event they decide to use SKUSA REGIONAL TIRE RULES!?!?!
I just bought 2 sets of YGB's for this race, with essentially the last of my racing budget(I'm S2). As a poor college student, now I need to spend an additional $330 on tires, and a mystery $75 on "pit spot". What happened to reducing costs?
Not that it effects me, but I'm sure that all the S1's are not going to be happy to be grouped in with the Superpro.
Anybody willing to trade me a brand new set of YGB's for a new set of C's?
Scott

Yea this does seem a little messed up here. But scott S2 is not a national class sooooooo what is your point. I have a feeling there will be a poor turnout for this event compared to what they could have had.

So Scott, when you add it all up, tires, pit spots entry travel and lodging, it's going to run you over $1,000 for the LTNs??

You are correct. I misread the rule book. I guess I should be happy S2 is allowed to run at LTN. But still, it's a shame I didn't know the tire rule a week ago.
Again, PLEASE STILL SUPPORT THIS!!!
Talladega ROCKS.
We can have a blast no matter what the difficulties with admin.

Well it's only maybe $25 worth of fuel for travel. Hopefully I can trade tires, so it's still the $330, plus $200 entry, $75 (or less if I can split it) "pit spot" and I'm sure at least $25 pit pass. I camp-out at the track so that's no more $$ for lodging. So I get out at the lovely sum of
$630
You know, if I quit racing I'd be rich for a college student .

Trust me, you'd spend it somewhere else. |

I didn't realize that last year's race was the innugural LTNs. Charlie, was I imagining changing Ted's chassis in 99?

Well, I know you have an active imagination, Tim, bu this case you are not imaginating things! The first SKUSA LTN was held at Gingerman in 1999.
