Does anyone know what the format for the World FInals is? Will there be single or double finals like the rest of the season? Everyone I ask doesn't really know. The reason everyone is optimistic is because its a "finaly" type event.

I've got to guess that it being the 'finals' its a one-off race. That combined with the fact that it's also the third leg of the CART Stars Series. No way to get all those finals in. Unless the CART race is the same as the Super-Pro race? Anyone care to shed light on that one? Due to the lack of semi-pro classes on the CART series, we run pro for that, but S1 semi pro for SKUSA. I don't think we're the only ones.

Rodney mentioned that he was hoping to have lights at the track by the World Finals. That would extend the racing time a little longer.

The World Finals is the big race right? It seems to me as if it should be worth more points, however from what i understand it will be worth less, only 1 final not 2. This is a bit of a problem in my opinion with the 2 region format. In my class K1, the competition seems to be a little bit stronger in the West, which gives a bit of an advantadge to drivers racing in the East. Now I would like to go to the World Finals to try to do well in the Final Standings. However, if there is only one final, it makes it very hard for me to gain back points against drivers who ran in the less competitive Eastern Zone. If it was a double final, or even just worth double points, I would be more likely to travel to Norman, knowing that there were more points to be gained. It'll be interesting to know what SKUSA's official decision on how to run this event will be

If thats the case with the lights, the track would change drasticly and it would be blazing fast. Plus, OMC under the lights would be as we say in texas 'piiimmmmp' haha.

I think its best to have racing done BEFORE it gets dark so we can get back to the hotel at a decent time. Because after racing we have to prep the karts for the following day which ads an hour or 2 after racing is over. But, whatever can fit all the racing in is what has to be done.

Nelson`s back! You need to have "Ha ha" painted on the back of your helmet.

The world finals have only one main event for each class. It should be a wizz bang time.

A comment to Jake about the east and west in K1. While the fields were smaller in the east, the top guys are just as fast as in the west. 3 of the top 4 going into Norman are from the east but the number 1 guy is from the west. There would be significantly more from the west, in fact it should be dominated by the west due to the field factor SKUSA is using. However, the first race where Jake and Charlie crashed out really mixed things up. If they hadn't crashed out, they would be fighting it out for hte number one spot.

A comment to anyone. If you have the opportunity to go to Norman as part of the world finals, by all means go. So what if you can't win it or don't think that you will move very far up in the points. We are going into Norman 4th in the points. Do we have a chance of getting the number one plate? Only if a whole bunch of things happen to a whole bunch of guys so our chance is about as remote as it gets.

Secondly, we are just not that good to win it. In fact, we may not be good enough to get a top 10 againest that crowd (if they all show up) But we got into the top 5 by keeping it on the track. We got there by preparing the kart so that it was dependable. We got there with a driver that realized that finishing was more important than winning. If we can do it, anybody can do it.
