Robert,
Count me in on a Grattan test day. I need to shake down the kart before I go to Barber. _________________ 2-G.P. Karts / 2-GFK TM K9B |

These are the dates Sam gave me:
April:
1st-Fri.
9th-Sat.
10th-Sun.
16th-Sat.
17th-Sun.
Let me know asap, as I posted in the RR fourm I'll have to drop a hefty deposit down to hold a date.
Because it's short notice ANY kart is welcome, need 20 drivers or it's not going to happen. The lease is $2,200........ @ $110.00 each 20 will pay the bill.
Lets hear it!

Robert,
Be sure the corner workers are included in the price. As well as the med/staff.
The CAN DO CREW was a few hundred if I remember correctly. The ambulance was 500.00
Are you going to have lunch? _________________ Johnny West/West Racing |

JW,
$2,200 covers the track and EMS. The marshalls are an extra $70 per marshall with Sam suggesting a minimum of 5. I'm sure I can get some guys from K2K to come out along with some volunteers. Maybe the drivers can bring a partner to sit on a corner, just a thought......I can't afford to spend more than planned.
Lunch? Maybe if Big Rich from Chicago brings his BBQ again. I personally won't have time to do it.
I have a short list of 10 for sure with 2-3 "pretty sure" so it's moving along pretty good. Many I have contacted didn't respond yet.......middle of the week details should be clearer.
Saturday date is most popular and the earlier of the 2 seems to be most sought after. If moving from earlier to later means not getting 20 then it's a no brainer......we'd just go with the 9th.
I know it's the same weekend as Barber, Dawley already sent a note to say he can't make it. We'll go with the 16th if the number of participants are greater than the number for the 9th.....but can't change it to trade 5 for 10. Ya know??????? These are the dates we have to work with. I'm paying $110 along with everyone else and taking/making 0. I just want to test...........we can decide when we get there how things are run.
More to come

I talked to Johnny at KMI about this subject and suggested even using Gingerman on one of their "practice" dates in April. They usually have a small car count - and you split the time with the car guys.. it is an easy 4-5 hours of track time.... at less than $100 per person.
Just a suggestion... _________________ "Luck is when Preparation meets Opportunity"
