| The Fontana event was rescheduled due to weather and track conditions. Portions of the infield were "knee deep" in water according to race director Debbie Kuntze when she inspected the track today (friday). |

| The Kuntze's have the most accurate info - a new date for Fontana will be posted when confirmed. |

The make up race has not been finalized.November,May and April were the options but April is bad because you will not have tech or a race director for the event on the 9-10. We hope to have it nailed down here shortly. _________________ John Kuntze

I'm not trying to be an butt head or anything but John you need to look at your website. It's saying the make up is in April. I know the pressure is on and SCK did the best they could but don't make it worse by advertising a date thats not confirmed yet.
Good luck with the make up day I hope everyone who was coming this weekend will come for the makeup (whenever it may be).
Thanks for trying to keep road racing alive on the west coast. |

Jim:
The website is being changed. Our board is unfortuantely well scattered throughout California and with the road closings late yesterday, even more hard to get at. We have definitely found out we need a cell phone number roster so we can keep more up to date with all information.
What happened is after Jim Crawford and Roger Seguine left after hearing the April dates, Justin from the track came back out and stopped Julie and I. Of course Roger was trying to get ahold of John Rounds at that time so that's how this got started so we could let everyone know.
Justin had two other dates for us to contemplate that he thought he could make work. What he wanted us to do is find out when all other clubs etc. have their big races, championships and nationals so we have a date that does not conflict. Of course he can not move around NASCAR, IRL, etc. but he wants to do his best for us to have a great festival for all the karters. Rather refreshing for karters to be treated this way by a track. Normally with road race we are on the bottom of the pool and get what we get, so this is great. _________________ Debbie Kuntze

Sorry to hear about the cancellation, but it will more than likely help with kart count for the rescheduled date, provided we can escape rain then! For sure this will help with the U.S. SuperKart Series (Western Division) participation, as the January date came up a little too soon for most.
Please post the new dates as soon as you have them, so we can reschedule.
