Hey Guys,
I hope everyone's Christmas was enjoyable. Well it looks like there is a 4-race series for the west: Fontana, Infineon (Sears Point), Portland, and Reno-Fernley. I have told several of the western guys that I would be happy to take responsibility for the following: keep track of the points, advertise, memberships, and trophies. I cannot be at the races to coordinate the events though. We will need a point person for the duty, but before we worry about that, it is important to know who is planning on running the series!
I understand that Fontana is coming very quickly and if you can't make it, that can still be your drop race. The series will cost $200.00 and that money will go towards trophies. The membership will entitle you to compete for the National Championship in Georgia (as long as you raced 3 of 4 races). To make it worth while, we need to have at least 12-15 guys commit, otherwise it's just too much effort for too few people.
So please speak up if you are gonna commit, that way everyone will know which direction to take.
Thanks for your time,
J.R. Osborne

Ryen Miller is committing. 3 of the 4. Won't be ready for Fontana, will do the other three. Already sent in the money and app. Probably will go to Georgia also. And any other race we can find after Fontana. This Ryen's learning year.

Roger, from what I was told, last weekend there was already a good field pre-entered for Fontana in both the single and twin class.
As of now we have classes available both days, but for this 250 Superkarts series the race is only on Sunday. But several are entering Saturday's classes for more track time. If enough ask for it, we can run the series both days. _________________ Debbie Kuntze

Hi Marc,
Because the Western Series is behind in it's scheduling, I think what would be fair is to delay the collecting of any monies until we find out how many guys will be running the series. The points from those who run the Fontana race will still be counted as long as they join the series before the next event. For those who do not make this event, they will still be eligible for the points championship, but they will have to run the remaining 3 events. The competitors who run Fontana will be able to drop one of the remaining events.
Again, the Western Series is up to you guys. If there is not enough enthusiasm, we'll just scrap the idea and run the Eastern Series as the National Series Championship. The 3 remaining events: Sears Point, Portland, and Fernley are good venues to run, WHO IS GOING TO COMMIT?
For those who run the Fontana Event, there are race days available on Saturday and Sunday. Debbie Kuntze has slated Sunday as the points counting race for our series.
If you want to see the series happen, please get your fellow competitors to speak up and support the deal.
Thanks and Happy New Year,
J.R. Osborne

It's time to start and tallie how many folks are going to get on board and do some great racing this year this year. Other wise we will have to scrap the WESTERN PRO SUPERKART SERIES, I personally don't wont to do that. Sign up guy's, we need to know if we should pull the plug on an organized superkart series or not. Thanks very much, See you at the track, Brad

Yes, my wife and kids have granted their old man two to three races a year. So I wont make all of them, but I will get my ass off to at least three. Brad

I am commiting to at least 3 out of the 4 races. The snow doesn't look so goo d going through the siskiyou's, so I'm not sure if I will be able to drive down to Fontana. Anyone from the PNW heading down? Anyone willing to rent a 250 twin kart down at the event?

Kyle: I know the Hegars are coming. They never miss the event. Besides, you probably can use some warmth and sunshine!

Hi Guys,
Right now it looks like we have the following guys committed:
1) Larry Kurpiewski
2) Ryon Kurpiewski
3) Brad Davis
4) Anthony Williams
5) Kyle Rice
6) Paul Band
7) Larry Dobbs
Frank Dawley
9) Ryen Miller
10) Marc Morrison (?)
11) Mark Brown
12) Roer Pupet (?)
It's looking good guys. Obviously we would like more, but there are enough guys to go ahead with this series. Please send in your series entry and I will start getting the trophies ordered up. For those of you racing at Fontana and join our series, I will get your trophies to you at the Sears Point race. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
