Ron, it was a blast to race with you in Unlimited 2 ! When I heard you behind me, I thought it was Robbie H. again as we had diced for several laps. Then, you BLEW by Shocked , man, that kart has some LEGS ! Anyway, a nicely done pair of wins. You earned them ! Hope to see you there next year. What was your best lap time ?

Brian,

Man I can't tell how much fun it was to race with you and Robby. Robby kept diving in the corners and I had one heck of time getting a run on you. Once I could sniff the draft from the F/E's it seemed like the kart was in overdrive. I understand you started coming back to me at the end. At any rate I think we put on one hell of show for the people that were watching. Looking forward to doing it in the future.

Yea Brian, I think it was 2:01.571. But most of my laps were in the 2:02 to 2:03 range.

Hi
I am back I went to the Keys to lick my wounds Embarassed
I was setting up the laydown chassie I had it too loose in the rear.
It would step out on me at power put down.
I had it rocking in a staight line 158mph , I just need to get the chassie dialed in.
I made some change's and at pit out there was a bump just as I grabbed 2nd It stepped out on me and I went to the gard rail , data acc. showed
I hit at over 60 mph. I woke up in the track hospital.
Broken ribbs , left knuckle , brused right and left legg.
Other than that I was fine.
While the guys swapped things over to the Anderson ther were
some parts put on wrong . I was not able to help much on friday
during the change over ecept to say what I wanted.
The guys said I kept walking in circles and repeating myself.
On Saterday I took the kart out for practice And it would not run on top end. Power valves were thought to be in back wards, we change'd that.
Tried it at last practice it seemed better.
But come race time it fell on its face.
Next day we changed coils it seemed fine .
Come race time it fell on its nose on the speedway.
So I packed it up.
Found the problem when I got home last night.
Simple problem not wanting to share : Confused
Riley Will Who Is BRC
Has been so amazing what a true Class Act.
He did so much to make this happen and when things went south
he still has a positive additude and so do I.
I will devlope this laydown to its peak performance!
We are designing new body work to fit the rules for all clubs.
Were adding a rear wing this with the help of some Daytons Prototype
Aero Engineers.
The week after I worked for Robinson Racing on thier Daytona Prototype
and was even put in the seat 2 times to drive.
It was a blast. We have Walley Dallenbech , Paul Dallenbech ,Shane Lewis, Gearge Robinson, And Johnny Unser for drivers.
It was fun chatting with them guys and they all seemed more interested
In the 250 twin Laydown then what they were doing.
Thanks to Riley Will. Rocky who did an ausume jod tuning.
Gary Kramb who is my fabricator and whos Dad is dying of Canser but helped any way.
We will WIN!
Thanks
Randy Johnson

Randee, thank you for the appreciation. It is a pleasure to work with you on this unique project. No one else that I know of could have finished the kart like you and Gary did, we are all very impressed here Cool When it gets to the track again, I wanna be there to see it go. Sounds like there was a bunch of "fraidy cats" that wanted to make it illegal already. Too bad they don't make the rules. I guess if they did Superkarts would be a Honda RS250 spec series Wink Just kindin' ya'all, innovation is what drives the sport, just look at J.R. Osbourne's piece of rolling artwork. That think is bitchin'. The Reggie's kart isn't too shabby either.

You know how it goes Riley. If you can't beat 'em on the track beat 'em in tech or smoking back room. Those are real men. Wink

Thanks,

Randy-

I'm glad you are back and in one piece. I kept asking my buds how you were doing down there.. and was really bummed to hear about the incident. Give me a call this week.. I may be going to the 24-hours after all. We'll see.

Thanks!

Marc

Mark
I sent you photos of The Daytona Prototype and the cart.
I still can't figure out how to import a "JPG "file to this forum.
I have some really cool nose ideas that are coming together
Its clear that a Daytona prototype can cool a V10 with 1 rad in the
nose thats only 35in X 24in
We can do it with the correct design a third that size.
The trick is the controlling of the air in and out.
It also will give you down force just like a wing with low drag.
While I am rappen about body and rules , whats the gig with
the drivers bubble? Why do the even rquire that?
Its in the rules but Why...I can work with it but whats the
thought process here???
Riley import some of the shots I sent if you can.
RJ

1st, no one was scared. We have rules if you don't like them then run something else. Riley when you do well at a race I say so. I do not get on the list and give excuses on what ever. If I broke, I broke. Crap happens. As far as a RS250 class NO ONE is trying not to let you run your engines. And as far as a laydown the rules WE put together said no. NOT the guys at the track. REMEMBER THE RULES! Or prehaps they should not apply to guys running your engines.Randee went to the race with all his guns he did not prepair properly. If he did the would have run better. Before the race HE did all the BS stating how he was gonna blow the doors off of everyone. Well he didn't. He had the factory engines and tuner. And STILL did not get the job done. Looks like he will have to spend more money, and YES he will need to be legal. Just like the rest of us. I was not going to say anything until I read the load of crap you guys posted. Looking forward to the next run.

Johnny, I did not mention any names and I also stated "Just Kiddin' ya'all Wink " Ya, we were revved up and it was not to be. Congratulations to you and Jim, hopefully next year we can race ya. I knew that there was a bunch of Honda equipment at Daytona and that's why I wanted to poke some FUN. Sorry for not being funny. Sorry you can't take the ribbing too.

Riley,
I take ribbing with the best of them. That was a bit much. Thanks for the responce. As you know I am just a guy working out of a garage. I don't have a factory to back me. Not complaining just a fact. You have done well with your engine. No doubt. But the old RS250's aren't too bad either . Mine is a 1999. Only 6 years old. I think I'll keep it. Very Happy

Guy's,

Since driving Frankie's FE I have dreamed of having my own. Anyone who knows me understands there is no way that will happen with all I have to do with my first love.....F-125.

BUT, I think there is a way for me to enter the friendly competition. I don't know Mr. Will but Gary and RJ are very good friends of mine and I think they will embrace the opportunity to challenge me to a "best of the best" 250 FE laydown.

With that said.....yes Johnny, I WILL build you a 250 laydown for Daytona next year. I don't have to bank roll the job so what the heck, I too am just a guy in a garage. If JW turns me loose you two better have the DP team help you because I will bring the goods!

Man, this is fun!!!! How 'bout it boys?

RPM

PS: RJ, glad to hear your in one piece....kinda (ribs)
