For all of u who don't own a 250 why don't u stay the hell off of this forum your trying to give your input on things when u don't even attend races or own a 250...Just to clarify yes I own a 250 as a matter of fact I own 2 of them...
p.s. it seemd like the ones who don't even own a 250 cry the most for those who don't have a 250 why in the world should we listen to u...buy a 250 attend races or keep your mouth shut... |

Randee,
Nice looking 74 car, what is your job on it? With all the DPT cars this year in the 24 hours, didn't really know who I would be cheering for. But since a fellow laydown pilot works on the 74, I have now found a car. Good luck to the whole team in February.
Cheers! _________________ David Bauder

Randee - Nice pics... Thanks for posting them. Good luck at DIS.
Michael Beamer.....
WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM..... Dude, put down the crack pipe or whatever pipe that I see you smoke at the track sometimes with the funny scent coming out out it. YOU SHOULD GIVE THAT STUFF UP!
If you want to post your opinions, then do so, but if you want to take personal shots or at least try to, then this can and will get ugly.
Michael Beamer wrote the following:
1. "Randy I would tell you that for once you should stop talking and crying about what you would do and just do it.You continue to take the lazy approach to these things and not back up you wants with any kind of necessary effort"
Well I have, I have opted to run the WSK Series. No Crying, No Excuses....Just fact.
2. "The Unlimited class has outlasted all of them and before you start messing it up with another failed spec series you need to show up with some more entries at the only place they matter ,the track. Until then, this class needs everyone in it or none of us will have a class to run.The ICE karts HAVE NOT HAD ENOUGH ENTRIES AT THE TRACK EVER to stand alone in the WKA series. As it is repeatedly pointed out out this is not the only racing out there maybe you need to go race with the hundreds of ICE KARTS that must be wandering around lost out in the mid west somewhere."
Ok, the WKA Unlimited class still exists and will always exist, well because Michael Beamer will always be somewhere.
I myself and many others will go race somewhere else, i.e. US Superkarts series......
3. "Just showing up with some money and a new trophy is not enough"
Is this suppose to be a personal shot at me????? If so, you should go get some money yourself and a modern day trophy of your own. I am proud of my season that consisted of a few wins, a 2nd place at Daytona with 20+ unlimiteds (laydowns and ICE's) considering I started dead last after not getting started until after the flag. I could have done better, but thats my plan for this year. How many races did you win in 2004?? 2003???, ETC... better yet, when was the last time you showed up at the track ready to race with a complete kart ready for the track? I often see you show up with either the motor in pieces or the kart in pieces and you work throughout the night putting the thing together. They same that time is money...If that is true, then I do spend a lot of money on racing....It is called time...
Please do not knock my sucess, I have not laughed about your recent misfortunes have I?
4. "At Putnam there was 3 ICE karts, at New Hampshire there was 0.These are probationary numbers for the class not dictating a new class numbers"
Michael, were you at any of these races? As a matter of fact, which races did you actually attend and race in during the 2004 season? 2?
5. "Mr. Dawley for all the claims you and Randy make about the vast numbers of these Karts they continue to not exist at the track. You and the rest of the ICE guys have had 3 years to bring your overwhelming numbers to the track and you have failed to produce."
The way I see it is, If we have such little ICE fields, then better for you and the WKA Unlimited class. 1. Such a small number of ICE's as you put it would not hurt WKA right? We are only 2-3 karts as you say. 2, The laydowns can then race each other and win a few races. Many competitors just dont view WKA as the race series format that they want to race. The US Superkart format looks more appealing to me and many others.
5. "The unlimited class ,whatever it consists of, is a completely different group of people and attitudes then the 125 sprinters and the comparisons between the two dont hold up. None of these karts whether ICE or laydown translate to the sprint track crowd and the type of person willing and able to run a 250 doesnt come out of that series anymore then anyother. "
Let's see:
Andy Kiker
Rob Morris
Tim Richardson
Clark Gaynor
Brent Harper
and Myself came from 125's over the last few years.
I think that you are wrong. I would agree with you a few years ago, but I do think most of the newer drivers are indeed coming from the 125 class.
See you at Barber with a wing in April!

Beamer, the horse is not only dead, buried, and pushing up daisies, it’s also been reincarnated into the tic that's must be on your bum!!!!
Give it a rest already, get with the times....
PS: The inch that was given saved the WKA Unlimited class from certain obscurity, the same way it saved 125-shifter class.

Well randy I was not reffering to you with those statements but the way this series was put together. You are a lazy thinker and just like all the rule changes you think should instaneously happen because you want them it just doesn't work that way.Since you have never designed or built anything yourself I wouldn't expect you to understand it might take a few races to sort it out. However it was put together, it was good enough at Atlanta to finish the race in 5th while you sat on the side of the track and watched. Now a little about your 14 month long 250 carreer and season.Fortunately I can check the facts on Mylaps and not rely on your hype. You never came close at any track or race to setting fast lap.You won one race at putnam with 2 people in it and Slayor was 1 sec a lap faster there until a tire problem took him out.At Barber if the race had been any longer Robbie in his "parkin it laydown" would have beat you. You blew up at least 10 times and went through how many cylinders? You rarely took the checkered flag you just broke later then some people. If anybody else was still running you were behind them. You won attendance trophys this year as you were the only one to race the full point slot. At your home track series Slayor wiped your clock every race.Better to inhale smoke then to always blow it randy. The atendance numbers are not my opinion randy they are the easily checked facts ,something you dont use too often.
I raced 10 times this year and by your criteria won just as many races.
Ive been racing the top class and supporting this series for 19 years. If I took a couple off to be with my 3 kids its none of your bussiness. Its about not letting ADD racers who are not going to be around mess up this class. What were you telling everybody you were going to do sell all your stuff and go spec mazda racing? Its not laydown versus situp its obviously going in the direction of some form of hybrid situp. Its about not letting some nimrod such as your self define what that is.Please go race WSK just not on top of WKA unlimited , then it is my bussiness.
Mr. Dawley you own a twin which I am not reffering to in anyway as they really do need somewhere to run that is not currently offered.
Trying to be nice but the morons keep makin me mad,

Bernie if you read what I said I refered to the average count for the season not just a race here or there. Its real simple if you want a new class in the WKA national structure you need to demonstrate at least 10-15 participants to fill it .The class average has not changed there is not enough of either type to stand alone,no matter how much some people want it.Thats just the way it is not my opinion. The ICE style karts have not produced the claimed numbers of participants in 3 years. A race here or there or out in Laguna doesn't change that. When they do then maybe the people who take part in this series will have some say about what is and isn't an ICE style kart.
When JR led the discussion by implying inclusion, ignored what 90% of the people said ,waited until after he was allowed in,then released an entirely different exclusive concept , thats just not the way its done.
Throughout the season ICE style 3-5 others 3-4 participants.Just not enough to split it up.
Bernie we are talking about what this class will be not seat angles and floorpans.

Mr. Beamer,
You claim that I said one thing to get "in" and then switched the deal later??? Get "in" to what? If you are referring to the track promoters, I have had their support from the beginning and I still have their enthusiatic support today. I have never needed your approval. Several items have changed since the initial PROPOSED rule structure. There may be even further changes as the year goes, if warranted. The people that will have a voice are the ones who have joined the Championship, not the bystanders.
There is no way to make everyone happy Michael, there are always compromises to be made. I had a lot of people complain about allowing the laydowns to run when I PROPOSED it in the beginning. Please quit pulling your statistics/facts out of thin air to fit your views.
To the rest of the 250 community-
Keep your eyes open for our 1-page ad in the new Super Kart Illustrated. Thanks again for your calls and emails of encouragement and excitement for the coming season. It all starts in just 3 months.
Take Care,
J.R. Osborne

I am an Electrical engineer I wired the 74 car up and I change the left front tire usaly during the race. This year they only allow 4 guys over the wall
so we are taking turns. I also do the Electrical trouble shooting during the race..
Its fun drivers list is kind of weak in my opion.
George and Walley are good but Paul and Johnny did not even know
what flat shift was or a fuel reset button was for....
Its about Fame and $ at this level ,Talent takes a 2nd or 3rd seat .
I showed them photos of my 250 twin .
They said I was "nuts to drive them things"
I am not nuts just not rich.

I thought I was looking at a forum for SUPERKARTS, why does Beamer keep bringing up laydowns and how Superkarts are evil and everything that's wrong in his life?
Mike I really like you and you have a great family and great kids but dude, your talking to deaf ears in this forum, try the road racing forum or maybe try vintage racing.
