Does anyone have and if so willing to share a working format on how to put together a presentation package for potential sponsors for a young, up and coming driver. Any other useful information is also greatly appreciated.

I'm definitely no expert on this, but I just received my Steve Smith Autosports catalog and there's a book entitled "The Great Money Hunt" that supposedly outlines the process you are looking for.

You can try www.ssapubl.com or try Amazon or
Barnes & Noble.

I think Tom Argy has some kind of "attracting sponsorship" program he sells (videos or something like that).

As mentioned already there are several books on the subject I'm sure. I put together a proposal a few years ago that was considered by the president of a large long time kart manufacture to be the best that he had seen. Another kart shop/engine builder thought it was good but to long(10 pages).

Keep it short if you are solicitating kart shops. I wrote mine with the intent of being able to present it to any business. The main or focus of your proposal should be what it is that you are going to do for the sponsor. You want something from them what are they going to get in return?

Don't lock yourself into seekig money only, products that you conssume are helpful as well as cash. My approach has been "cost + 10%" for my parts and supplies. It usualy works.

Good luck.
