Charlie, I used JB Weld to repair the fairing on my '84 Ninja 900. The front turn signal stalk broke off. I tried using a soldering iron to weld the plastic, but it broke again. Been fine since applying the JB. (no, I did not drop the bike, the movers broke it when they strapped the bike to the wall of the trailer during one of my cross country moves)

See ya at the MKC banquet.

Dan

Being a Aircraft Mechanic the company I Work for brought a used fleet of jet that had a lot of interiour parts that needed repair. I I would recommend using either JB weld or equivalent to join the pieces together, and then on the back side using a fiberglass mesh and resin were you can not see it, and then sand the front side with the JB weld. And then prime and paint and it will look as good as new and probally be stronger. You can also add microballons our flox.

I know this is an old thread, however I though I'd let y'all know that Harbor Freight (In 7 western states) has a plastic welder advertised for $29.00
