I have a few questions about steering wheels.
1. What are the maximum and minimum diameters for steering wheels to be used in IKF/Skusa/SCK, etc.?.
2. Is there a preference or warning for cover/grip material types.
3. Are there any preferences for steering wheel depth/offset.
4. Do offset style steering wheel hubs offer any advantage to how easily the cart turns or the leverage that can be attained when using them.

Wheel size is often a function of upper body strength of the individual driver and the driving style.
The smoother the driver the more the trend toward smaller wheels. The rough guys all like the big wheels as it helps them try to bring the kart back after they throw it around.
If you want a high quality shifter wheel try http://www.bruso.com
We run their wheel and it is the best we have ever found for a shifter application. The clutch lever is the best we have found from any manufacturer in the world.
We buy a lot of our products in Europe when we can not find a US manufacturer who can compare in quality. |

We have found that the MOMO wheels have an incredible amount of quality. Randolph realy likes the fact that they are very hard when gripped, and the leather that covers the wheel itself is top notch and wrappedvery tight. a lot of wheels tend to "twist" in your hands, and the MOMO wheels don't. They don't realy offer a large variety of sizes, but their "karting" wheel seems to work quite well in sprint racing. He uses one of their F-1 wheels for his Anderson ICE, which is much smaller and would probably be ill-suited for a sprint kart. All in all, really nice stuff.
