I'm curious what the tach sensor is on my Digitron (or Mychron). Is it a semiconductor or inductor? Specifically.

your tach sensor is inductive.
A semi-conductor directs traffic in a truck stop

It's just a wire...
It works through induction. If the end clip falls off (I'm talking about a Mychron here), you can just tie wrap the remaining lead alongside your sparkplug wire, and it will work just fine. |
