HOW???
After Top End replacement, on a stand? What RPM? How long?
What about if only a ring was replaced?
Related question, how do you get temp to 120 degrees before hitting the track? I can never get it higher then 100 by havving the kart on a stand. |

From my experience with FA and JICA engines, we always run in the motors on-track. For a top-end we do 2 sessions:
1. Below about 10,000 rpm with lots of choke and set the carb a bit richer. (about 7 mins.)
2. Build up the revs gradually towards max. (another 6/7 mins.) with longer pulls and then choking again.
Then do another couple of minutes to pull up to full revs.
If a ring is replaced you dont need to run-in. Just make sure there isnt a burr on the end of the ring before you fit it.
Hope this helps,
