What exactly is required to race the Parilla Leopard in TAG class?
Age Requirments, Driver Requirements, Wieght, etc.

Also, what is required to race the 100cc Ital Motors Parilla Leopard TAG class?
Are 100cc leopards and 125cc leopards mixed together?

Whats difference in horespower with 100cc and 125cc, also whats the difference with speed between the two.

Im new to this motor and haven't taken time to learn more about it. Mine should be arriving soon so I guess this is the best time to learn.

Thanks,

not sure about a 100cc parilla leopard. there is the 120cc BM and the 80cc puma(or maybe this is the 100cc - it's air cooled.

Brian,
There's a post on the "Italsystems owners get the shaft..." thread which shows the classes. I don't know if anyone in NorCal is supporting the restricted Leopard or Puma.
The 100cc you asked about uses a different cylinder, and is intended for Junior. When ready to move up you buy a top end for about $500 or so and you're ready to go.
I don't know if this is catching on anywhere in the States as well as elsewhere.

Bryan,

Up until the actual testing and certification process for engines in the TAG USA and SKUSA programs, it was rumored that the Parilla Jr. level (12-15) engine package would likely be the 100cc Lynx. At the time of the testing the 100cc engine was not submitted for approval for any class. The adult level package is the spec Parilla Leopard and the Jr. level package ended up being a restricted version of the same engine. there is a Parilla 60cc engine that has been certified for cadet (8-11 I believe) racing. To the best of my knowledge, the 100cc Lynx is not being used in any major sanctioning body's TAG program.

Here is a link to the TAG USA site or you can go to the SKUSA site for more info. Keep in mind that there may be some minor alterations in these rules depending on where you race.

In NorCal, we (ALPHA Karts USA) have sold over 20 BM "PUMA" 85cc TaG Jr. engines in February alone. This is gouing to be an incredible class this year. While other areas are still on a "wait and see" mode, the NorCal area is well on their way to having a fantastic new class. And as mentioned, when the kid is ready to move up, he simply swaps out the top end for a new cylinder, head and piston, converting the PUMA to a 100cc TaG engine.

Sounds good, thank you for your help.

I have concluded my desicion but I believe im going to leave the 125cc cylinder as it is and maybe if I get an extra $500, i'll buy the 100cc cylinder and test it out.

Ive been interested in seeing how the 100cc Jr Leopard compares to other 100cc motors, like Yamaha KT100, Reedjet, etc.

Anymore information I may need to know thats not on www.tagracing.net that should be taken into consideration while in ownership of the Parilla Leopard will be greatly appreciated.

Best Wishes,
