| I am having some difficulty getting the mycron data to allow me to get a "calculation of splits" as the users manual states. This is something that allows the user to check the split times over distances. Anyone have the heads up on how to actually get the "Standard" version of mycron to do this? Thanks! |

By a "standard" version of MyChron, I assume you have a MyChron2.
In order to get split track times from your MyChron2 data, you need to have MPH as 1 of the channels collected.
Then you also need to aquire a track map generated by a Drack or MyChron Pro.
Then download your MyChron2 into Race Studio software and attach the track map.
I have generated a document that will explain it better than I can do here:

Let me know if you have any other problems.

Thanks for the help. I tried to download the information you had, Roger, on the Mycron2, but unless it takes several minutes to download, I was unsuccessful. I kinda didn't explain myself so well last night, so let me give it another go. What I am really trying to get the mycron2 to do is to show acceleration rates done in distance traveled rather than by speed. As a kart with a 100cc engine can take .5 seconds to gain a mile an hour, if I can't look at the data in feet traveled, I'm stuck looking at the data that can show quite a difference, lap by lap, of acceleration rates. Not exactly what I had in mind, know what I mean? Hope I didn't open up a whole new can o worms!
Thanks in advance. |

Yes you can look at any given channel (speed, EGT, RPM...) and plot that vs. Time or Distance. Distance seems to be the way you are asking to look at.
The document you downloaded: (MyChron2 Data to Race Studio) spells out the difference on page 8.
Thanks!
