I understand that Bridgestone YGCs are no longer available in the United States and that Bridgestone suggests YHCs as the replacement. Can anyone give feedback on the characteristics and performance of the YHCs? Do you use the same inflation pressures? Has you setup changed?

Yeah, the new tires are not the same as the YGC's. The YHC's on my kart last weekend pushed really bad and I never did get the front to turn in like I wanted. They seem to have a stiffer side wall and that is the difference that I can see. I had YGC's on the back so I am sure that was the cause of some of my problems but they don't have rears yet so that is what I had to run. Good luck with them but don't think they are going to be the same.

My son raced this weekend with YHCs on the front and YGCs on the back. We had started the day with our one race old set of YGCs for practice and put the new mixed set on for qualifying. No problems showed themselves. Kart handling did not change.

We have been dealing with a bit of a push all season and during the day we seemed to have finally solved that with the chassis.

(Separate story... we have been closing on the right setup and seemed to have found the right combo of parts and trak widths and the like.)

He qualified 9th, 4/10s off the pole. It was a tight group for the top 10.
