Does anyone know the cost of each race, or a complete season in the Skip Barber Dodge PRO series? If you were making a proposal for a possible sponsor how much would you ask for to run the complete season?

What are the FEWEST steps needed to take to run a Barber Dodge PRO car or series? (ie. 3-day ship barber school, license, etc.) if you only have prior racing experiance in karts, shifter karts?

Does anyone know were to get helpful aid or information (ie. demographics, statistics) about the Skip Barber Dodge Pro Series that would be helpful in making a sponsor proposal for the Pro series?

I think the Pro series races are about $18,000/ race. For more info including some marketing material, just call them. Their number is in most of the mags.

Ray,

It's a Formula Series with Spec Reynard Chassis and 250HP Dodge Intrepid Engines.
It's part of the Ladder system 'Officialy' associated with CART.

The winner of each race get's around $12,000 and the winner of the series gets $300,000. If you're the top Rookie you get $175,000.

So you could walk away with $619,000 if you were Magic! ($475,000 of is scholarship funds towards future racing.)

Chris,

If I were looking to put a proposal together, I'd be hoping to raise $250,000. It's pretty similar to USF2000

Shortest way there. Whatever means you are capable of achieving your SCCA Pro License.

Several different ways of achieving it.

Since somehow we got onto Formula Racing here. Does anyone know where Aaron Justus is these days?

(Edit-Checked out the sites. The dollars for the championship/rookie are scholarship funds applicable towards Indy Lights/Future Racing. Seems like Indy Lights is getting low entries though now.)

If anyone wants to see the Barber Dodge Pro series run, they are in Vancouver this weekend with the Champ cars.

When I went in 95, I seem to remember the Pro cost being about US$10k a race weekend. Just before I started to get into karting earlier this year, I got current info on the Formula Dodge Amateur series (different cars) which is about US$2100 a race weekend, plus the training and lapping/ practice sessions. That brings the race weekend cost for the car/entry to about US$3k. Take the five day racing course, a couple of lapping days, and you're set for the Amateur series. If you do well in that, they pay your entry in the Pro series.
