Last night, April 20th, was the running of the Inaugural Surfer's Classic for World Formulas, sponsored by Surfers Kart Parts. 23 WF's filled the grid, all in the Med. 365# class. It tripled the size of the next largest class at the track. The racing was intense and competitive throughout the field. The barn burner finish was won by Aaron Hernandez with Jeremiah Davis and Curtis Ruth hanging very tight. Any of the top three could have won coming out of the last turn. Great racing at a great event which was also the 30th Anniversary of the PKRA ( Phoenix,Az.) track's operation. _________________ I breathe ,therefore,I race |

Berine, You and your family did an excellent job of orchestrating the 30th anniversary of the track and club.
The WF was a totally awesome race from start to finish. I liked it particularly because the engine Aaron ran was mine and it has run from day one exactly as it came out of the box. Aaron was right on his set up and determined to win for me just to show me he could. Awesome field of karts and drivers.
I too, hope to join you as soon as I can afford an engine for myself. _________________ Began kart racing 1959. Made many friends along the way. |
