Anyone in the San Francisco/Daly City area? I'm looking to meet with someone to discuss GO KARTS. Considering that this is a GO KART forum I figured my original post assumed I was referring to GO KARTS.
So, GO KARTS: Specifically ENGINES, FRAMES, ADJUSTMENTS (such as chain tension, chain lube, fuel to oil ratio, operating temp), pretty much anything pretaining specifically and ONLY GO KARTS.
EDITED FOR ALL OF THE PEOPLE THAT COMPLAINED

Steve, there are a number of karters from the bay area who are also on EKN. But maybe not on EKN every single day. _________________ A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. -- Winston Churchill. |

And... The original post is kind of ambiguous:

Meet up for what? Poker, gardening, Oprah's book club...
What are you looking for Steven? Someone to help out with a kart, inspect it maybe? Help with set-up or engine tuning? People to share track time with? _________________ I am a precisional instrument of speed and aeromatics. - Mater |

Who said I was talking about Joe?
I have offered to meet at the track and help Steven enjoy the sport as a new guy. It can be tough if you go to the track for the first time and don't have a clue, you tend to not stay in the sport long.
In the pm I stated that I don't post much becuase of the trolls.
Now if you google the term you will see that the post above is not very welcoming to a new guy looking for help... Which I found ironic becuase the post came up within minutes of my pm to him.
So I will go back to my .03 post a day status. _________________ Matt Dixon

I still don't understand your point Matt, but whatever.
BTW, Daly City is real close to this place: http://gokartracer.reachlocal.com/?scid=162069&kw=821498 Pretty good place to get down some karting basics. _________________ A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. -- Winston Churchill. |

Here you go...
This article is about internet slang. For other uses, see Troll (disambiguation).
In Internet slang, a troll (pron.: /ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is someone who posts inflammatory,[1]extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[3] The noun troll may also refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted."
While the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling describing intentionally provocative actions and harassment outside of an online context. For example, mass media has used troll to describe "a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families."[4][5] _________________ Matt Dixon

All other internet forum related issues/etiquette aside I am thinking about going to Infineon this afternoon (friday 3/29) since it looks like rain this Saturday and Sunday.
It depends on if I get time to clean out my carb (just bought a used CRF250 kart that had been sitting for years and suspect the lack of idle is due to old gas varnish...)

I would love to see that kart some time. I really, really wish that was a class somewhere. _________________ A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. -- Winston Churchill. |

So... the story behind it was that Jeff (I think that's his name) from Mach 1 Motorsports in Vallejo built three 4-stroke shifters back in 2006. Two with Yamaha YZ-WR motors (which he preferred and one with the CRF since it was for a MX guy who had a deal with Honda. This one never really got used. They tried to get a class going but Yamaha wanted up front sales of engines first. So it never flew. This was on CL about two weeks ago. Came with two sets of YBCs I think. They used to go to Dixon not Infineon.
I am having difficulties starting it warm right now. I think that old gas has blocked some slow/pilot/idle jets so I need to clean it. Just about dislocated my shoulder pulling it started too at home. Cold - fires up first pull. _________________ GP8 CRF250R shifter

Oprah’s book club?! You too?! I didn’t know anyone else on here would be down! Poker would be cool, what’s your game?
In all reality, I’m looking for all of the relevant stuff you pointed out in your post

LOL You called it!
Yeah I know of that place. I worked there like 13 years ago when it first opened putting that place together. The owner, Steve is a dick…
But good suggestion. |

Honestly, it took every ounce of control that I had in my body not to post :
"Try craigs list or Backpage"...
It truly was an odd post. _________________ Stewart Willis |
