Would you use one of these?

Personally I don't want the person behind me to know that I know they are there! _________________ Where are YOU Racing?

Most rulebooks don't allow mirrors, I'm sure this would fall in the same category.
There was quite a lengthy conversation on the topic a while back, FWIW I'm against mirrors or anything that distracts drivers from the track ahead of them. Hold your line, it's up to the car behind to get by safely no matter what the situation is.

What is behind you does not matter. Was that the Cannon Ball rally or the gumball rally? _________________ Greg Wright

| Besides karting, what type of wheel-to-wheel racing doesn't make use of mirrors? |

"The First Rule of Italian Driving" is from The Gumball Rally, (the superior of all cross-country race films, even if Brock Yates co-wrote The Cannonball Run).
The exact quote is: "What's behind me is not important", after Franco rips the mirror off and chucks it behind him. _________________ C. Skowron

To be honest I'm amazed at how effective the relatively tiny mirrors used in F1/Indycar are. It is obvious by some of the crazy blocking maneuvers (back and forth) that they have a good feel for what is happening behind them. _________________ Where are YOU Racing?

I always turn and look at the guy behind me, that way I know how much room to give him when he spins out.
