I have a KG plastic sprocket/chain cover, like this

http://www.accelerationkarting.com/kgplasticsprocketcover.aspx

Should there be separate mounting brackets, or should the inside half be directly attached to the bolts that hold the right side bearing to the chassis?

TIA!

I mounted one to the bearing carrier on a kart I had. Can't remember if it was connected directly with the same bolts holding the cassette or if it was attached to spare holes but definitely not with a separate bracket.

Cheers,
